…attended Black Families Supplementary school – 2018
Most notable activities at Black Families include –
computer programme-based projects and music projects, including the use of garage band
Supplementary School helped –
for getting involved in more activities and meeting new people her age. “I always enjoy taking part in extra-recreational activities, so I always enjoyed Black Families!”
Aisha has gone on to –
attend higher education at College and University;
currently at University studying Mental Health Nursing.
also works as a healthcare assistant in psychiatric hospitals, and volunteers at the Black Families Supplementary School!
What I am most proud of so far is –
“how resilient I am and how far I’ve come. Also managing to maintain some sort of work-life balance whilst having academic/work pressures!!”
The advice I would give to my younger self is –
“you’ll go on paths that you won’t necessarily expect, but trust the process, you love what you now do! Education is definitely tough, but hang on in there, as you know you can do it and you’re resilient :)… however, remember to enjoy yourself, and put yourself first! Be confident!!”
That’s it!
